I like to create products that are beneficial to people and not just gimmicky. That is why I have recently introduced my new range of Dead Sea Mud & Kelp facial cream scrubs.
I have used both scrubs now for over 4 months and have found my face no longer has dry patched and greasy patches but now has a lovely clean fresh glow which I must say I am proud of as it is my 50th birthday today.
It is important to eat as healthy as possible, drink plenty of water and not drink excessively. I know you have all heard this before but it has worked for me. I am not neurotic about what I eat and do enjoy a nice BBQ or the occasional take away but what Mum's and Gran's cooked for us years ago (meat & 3 veg) is still the best thing for you.
It is equally important to spend at least an hour a day out in the fresh air getting a bit of sunshine (do wear a hat & sun cream) and going for a de stressing quiet walk just to clear the mind.

As I am now self employed making skin care products & other toiletries I find that there is just never enough time to experiment with new ideas.
After I have taken my 9 year old grand daughter, who lives with me full time, to school, feed the chickens and cleaned them out, then cleared up after everyone in the house It is then time to check my email to see if I have any questions regarding my products and to see if I have sold anything.
If I have sold anything I like to wrap it and try to post it off to them straight away which involves a 1 mile walk. It is quicker to walk than it is to use the car.
By the time I have done this it is normally time to pick up my grand daughter from school and feed her at that is then the end of another day.

They are let out in to the garden every day from 9.00am until 5.00pm to scratch around for worms & bugs.
I feed them a natural feed with marigold extract, corn & all my vegetable scrapes which I boil up & add a little stale bread to.
I do not use any sprays or chemicals just natural essential oils to clean out the hen house & I also use natural fossilised algae to dust them for spider mite & lice.
In return they each lay me one lovely golden egg a day.
My neighbours all send along their vegetable scrapes & in return they are rewarded with eggs.
My girls give me a lot of pleasure

The great escape Come on others are waiting

We started out with a home build motor home 24 years ago. My husband owns an upholstery business so he needed a van to deliver with. We purchased a Talbot long wheel base & fitted it out with a bed, cooker etc leaving room in the middle for deliveries if he need it.
We then managed to purchase a Dethleff motor home, but after only a year we swapped it in for a Hymer A class. Which is the motor home of my dreams.
We belong to the Motorcaravanners club. I am the secretary & my husband is the Chairman of the Sussex group. We go away throughout the year on rallies with our group.
I started childminding when my children where 2 & 4 years old to earn a bit of extra money. Then when they started school I found the job still fitted in with their demands & so I just carried on with it.
I planned to give up when they both finished school but unfortunately at 16 my daughter was involved in a car accident which turned all our lives around. She had a baby at 18 & was unable to care for her so at 6 months old we took parental responsibility for her & so I continued to do childminding.
My grand daughter is now 9 years old & I decided that it was at last time to give up childminding for good especially with all the ideas that the government had planned for childminders.

I had always used alternative medicines & as I suffered with eczema as did my grand daughter I decided to make my own skin care products. After a lot of research, experimenting, & helpful advise I eventually sent my products off to be tested & have now got safety assessments for all of them.
